Chakuli Saree

Description
Chakuli is a rare and traditional handloom saree from North Karnataka, once worn by women in farming communities for its comfort, durability, and ease of movement. Rooted in simplicity and functionality, this weave reflects the lifestyle and cultural identity of rural India.

After nearly disappearing over time, the Chakuli saree has been thoughtfully revived by Dr. Hemalatha through the Punarjeeva Trust, preserving this unique textile tradition while supporting artisan communities.

Each saree is handspun and handwoven using natural dyes, making it breathable, sustainable, and timeless. Its reversible weave adds versatility, allowing it to be worn on either side.
